The sixth edition of the Committee of 100 Conversations – Recollections, Pioneers and Heroes will feature David Henry Hwang, the award-winning playwright, librettist, and screenwriter, in a live virtual conversation.

Recognized as a pioneering figure in American theater, Hwang’s body of work has earned him Obie, Tony, and Grammy Awards, along with multiple Pulitzer Prize finalist nominations. His plays, such as M. Butterfly, Yellow Face, and Soft Power, have helped shape contemporary American drama while amplifying Asian American narratives.

This special webcast is part of an ongoing series spotlighting Chinese Americans who have made significant contributions to American society. Interviews are streamed live, recorded, and made available as part of the Committee’s archival library.
