This one-day international academic conference brings together leading criminology scholars from China, the UK, and beyond to examine innovations and challenges in criminal justice. Hosted by Northumbria University, the program is structured around three thematic sessions—gender, policing, and crime control—with hybrid presentations and networking opportunities. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Professors Shanje Jiang (Wayne State University) and Anqi Shen (Northumbria University), highlighting comparative perspectives in crime and justice research.

Session topics include gendered dynamics in trafficking, sentencing and inequality in China, AI in modern policing, misdemeanour regulation, and homicide trends in Macao.
