This special salon honors the remarkable career of actress and cultural icon Lisa Lu (ε’η), the first Chinese woman to become a major force across Hollywood and Chinese cinema. With a career spanning over six decadesβfrom The Last Emperor to Crazy Rich AsiansβLisa Lu will join Susan Yuqing Feng for a conversation on art, identity, and cultural storytelling.
π Complimentary copies of her autobiography Return of the Swallow (Chinese edition) will be available on a first come, first served basis. A book signing will follow the event.
This program is presented in partnership with the New York Asian Film Festival, where Lisa Lu will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award and featured in the premiere of Lisa Lu Plays Herself.
