As China becomes an increasingly significant actor in global science, its policies are also extending outward. This talk, part of the CSC International Research Webinar Series, explores the relatively underexamined “Science Silk Road” component of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Focusing on emerging international research partnerships, infrastructure investments, and exchanges, the event also delves into the methodological challenges of studying China’s global scientific reach from outside its borders.
