China Week is the Lau China Institute’s annual flagship series of events, dedicated to fostering public engagement and research-based understanding of China’s global rise. Each year, the week brings together leading figures from academia, industry, and government for thought-provoking discussions on China’s modern development.

The 2025 edition, themed “China and the New World Order”, explores how China is reshaping geopolitics — from its growing economic clout and technological innovations to its expanding military footprint. Amid mounting global tensions, what kind of world order is China helping to create?
