As global tech competition intensifies, China’s ambitious industrial policy has become a defining force in shaping its high-tech sectors. From artificial intelligence and robotics to electric vehicles and clean energy, China’s government has taken an active role in engineering technological advancement.
In this lecture, Kyle Chan will examine the key structural patterns in China’s industrial policy, its successes and setbacks, and how it has adapted to the evolving international landscape—especially in light of trade tensions and strategic chokepoints in global tech supply chains.
