Over the past 25 years, U.S. economic and financial policy toward China has undergone a profound shift โ from promoting international integration and shared prosperity to a strategic focus on competition in areas such as advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and the global financial system.
In this keynote event, economist Lael Brainard โ former Director of the White House National Economic Council and Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve โ reflects on the evolution of U.S. economic strategy toward China.
